 n for Sustainable Development will take place from 13–15 January 2027 in N
 airobi\, Kenya.\nThe conference marks an important point in the implementa
 tion of the Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) for 2030 framework
 . It will generate renewed momentum for ESD and provide strategic guidance

 ship with sustainable development\nYouth participation and youth-led actio

 ate change\, biodiversity and other global challenges\nInternational coope
 ration\, partnerships and knowledge-sharing\nEducation beyond 2030 and fut
 ure global development priorities\n\nWhat to Expect\nUNESCO describes the 
 conference as an opportunity to reflect on progress under the ESD for 2030
  framework and identify priorities for future action. The programme will i
 nclude plenary and parallel sessions\, with strategic policy dialogue invo
 lving senior representatives.\nA ministerial roundtable will provide a ded
 icated space for high-level policy dialogue\, while youth participation wi
 ll be central to the conference and its discussions and outcomes.\nPartici

 \nThe conference's objectives include taking stock of progress under the E
 SD for 2030 framework\, examining emerging global issues and the role of e
 ducation in addressing them\, strengthening the role of youth and educator
 s\, fostering global networks and partnerships\, and considering how ESD c
 an contribute to the post-2030 agenda.\nExpected Outcomes\n\nA global ESD 
 stocktake covering progress from 2021–2026\nThe Nairobi Consensus on Educa
 tion for Sustainable Development\nStrengthened and expanded stakeholder ne
 tworks\nGreater participation and visibility for youth-led initiatives\nRe
 newed commitments to scale up Education for Sustainable Development\n\nNai
 robi Consensus\nUNESCO and an international advisory group are preparing t
 he Nairobi Consensus on Education for Sustainable Development. The draft p
 rocess is intended to build on the 2021 Berlin Declaration and help carry 
 the ESD agenda towards 2030 and beyond.\nUNESCO states that the final Nair
 obi Consensus is expected to be adopted at the World Conference in January
  2027.\nProgramme\nUNESCO currently describes the conference as an in-pers
 on programme of plenary and parallel sessions\, including a ministerial ro
 undtable. The detailed day-by-day programme has not yet been published.\nB
